[CM] clm+s7 finally up to speed

yes.  Here are some timings that are easy to run in both systems:

popi:   sbcl    .75
           s7      .55
   old s7+run .85  (Snd version 12.13)
bird: sbcl      .18
           s7      .11
   old s7+run .28
      
There are a few instruments that are still slow: Perry Cook's
singer in particular.
