[CM] Notes from the Metalevel text

I'm working through Heinrich Taube's text, I'm using the Windows version of
cm
I think these are some possible updates/changes(?)

(pwd) should be (cwd)
(cd)  should be (chdir)
(new ...) is not recognized, so (new midi) doesn't work?
*scale* is not recognized  unbound variable
(hertz 'a4) is not recognized
(keynum 'a4) is unbound

is there an initialization scm file I need to load?
