I think you can use Kjetil's kmenu.scm to get whatever shortcuts
you want in gtk.  It's working in s7 now (as well as guile) --
when I tried it, I suddenly remembered why I had discarded
that "feature" (some things are so ugly, you feel like you're in that
famous Mauch painting...).  

Also the XLoadQueryFont bug should be fixed.
