[CM] first fomus efforts, maybe a bug?

When I run the fomus example 1, then fomus example 8  then example 1 
again, the results from the  first and second runs differ in their 
labeling of the staff, no labels in the first run,  flute and tube 
labels in the second (pdfs attached).   Seems wrong....  

Also, anyway to pass a filename to the pdf from Grace?

Nevertheless,  loving it.
