The Debian/{Edu,K,U,Xu}buntu way of finding out:

 % aptitude install apt-file 
 % apt-file update
 %apt-file search sound/asound.h

 linux-headers-2.6.20-15:
usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-15/include/sound/asound.h
