[CM] problems with libclm.so while installing clm

I'm trying to install clm-3 on FC5 system under SBCL using alsa.
Loading all.lisp initially works but bombs out with the following message:

Error opening shared object "/home/sj/documents/src/lisp/clm-3/libclm.so":
cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied.

For the record I have tried using the oss default instead of alsa and
also GCL with similar results.

Any help greatly appreciated.
