Apologies for cross-postings.

Please forward as appropriate.

SEAMUS is pleased to announce the 2007 ASCAP/SEAMUS Student Composer
Commissioning Program, with the help of Frances Richard and the
American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)
<http://www.ascap.com>. The commission includes an honorarium for a
new electro-acoustic composition, a stipend for copying and material
costs, a plaque, a recording on the annual conference CD, and a
performance at the SEAMUS 2008 National Conference.

You must be a student currently enrolled in an academic course of
study that leads to a high school diploma, or baccalaureate, masters,
or doctoral degree in music or electro-acoustic music, or a program
that includes electro-acoustic music and related fields. This
competition is open to student members of SEAMUS, US citizens, or
legal residents of the United States.

The postmark deadline is October 15, 2006.

For more information, including the application form:

IMPORTANT: applying for the SEAMUS/ASCAP Student Commission is
