[CM] cmn object

i think the way it is supposed to work is:  you can define your own 
objects to represnt whatevr and then define a method on object->cmn 
that returns a list of stuff for cmn. the idea was that you could get 
any object to send things to cmn.
im not sure if this makes any sense or not! the place to start is in 
the dictionary
