[CM] snd audio issues continue

Hi
i am experiencing problems with audio playback on OS X 10.2.6 with 
snd 6.12-13, The audio playback is sped up.
i configured  --with-esd and for some reason it says it cannot 
find the ESD library which seems funky because i compiled 6.11 and 
even xmms to use it.

i configured once without --esd and the playback is the same. Any 
tips would be appreciated. is there a way to hack the configure 
script so it points right to my esd stuff or another playback 
engine?

could this be an issue with fftw3
