>Could I run it on Mac IIx?

I'm not the person you wanted to speak to, but while i'm on the mic...

clm, as well as cm and cmn, runs on ANY mac that is supported by
MCL (that is, as far as i can remember any mac from the Mac+ on
running SSW 6.0.7 or higher with 4 MB RAM or higher--check the
file MCL-README in the cm source directory). Of course, you won't
want the whole package to run with only 4 MB of physical RAM.

The IIx, then differs from the 'normal' 68030 machines in that
it has a 68020 CPU which CAN be accompanied by a MMU to support
paged Virtual Memory (a 68020 WITH MMU is exactly equivalent to
a 68030 CPU [which in fact is a 68020 with buildt-in MMU]).

Thus, be sure to have AT LEAST 8 MB of RAM set aside for the MCL
image and off you go...
