[Stk] Tutorial out of date?

Ah, I see. The ccrma version is 4.2.1. I think, and the current version is
4.3.1.

I've downloaded and installed the new version, and it is working, but not as
well (in some ways) as the older version.

On my laptop's onboard intel sound chip, sound is good on 4.2.1, but poor on
4.3.1. The sound crackles. Using a USB audio interface (M-Audio Fasttrack
Pro) gives me better output on 4.3.1. But, as the Fasttrack Pro doesn't
really work properly with Linux, despite claiming USB class compliance,
input is likely to be dodgy.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing crackly sound on Intel sound
hardware?
