[Stk] Stk won't compile in xCode on Tiger

Hi, i can't seem to get the STK example files to work in xCode on mac  
OS10.4. It compiles fine but when it runs it exits with the following  
message (this is on any example file by the way):

ZeroLink: unknown symbol '__ZTI8Instrmnt'
Abort trap

I don't know where to start with fixing this, does anyone have any  
ideas?

PS this also happened on my friends laptop runninng Tiger so it's not  
my computer at fault.

Any help greatly appreciated
