Hi All,

I just added STK instrument support to SLAB, a free virtual acoustic
environment (VAE) rendering system I'm developing at NASA
Ames. Unfortunately, it only runs on Windows... (apologies to Linux and
Mac) This is a beta release. The SLAB Generator Plug-In (SPIG) interface
is new. The STK instruments are integrated into SLAB as a SPIG (gstk.dll).

To try out the STK instruments in the VAE, you'll have to install SLAB, run
SLABScape, hit the [S] button to start rendering, hit the [SRC] button to
open the Sources dialog, hit the [GEN] button to open the Generator dialog,
and select the "stk" plug-in. Adjust parameters by selecting them, moving
the slider, and hitting "Apply" (unless continuous, e.g., setFreq). See
the "Plug-In Information" box for the instrument number definitions. The
instrument parameters behave as documented in the STK docs. The source
code is in <install dir>\src\gstk. Back on the Sources dialog you can move
the source around or set it in motion (channel strip droplist), etc....
Note: You need to wear headphones to hear the spatial effect (SLAB
performs HRTF processing).
