Hello,
I've been using the fedora 15 default kernel and recently noticed that if I pass the kernel boot line nohz=off I get many fewer xruns. I'm also using threadirqs. See my post last week on ardour forums for more details if interested. Search for nohz.
Not sure I can use the rt kernel right now due to needing nvidia driver.

Many thanks for this Fernando. I've not had a chance to do any real
testing yet, but the kernel boots with no problems and everything seems
to work.

A quick run of jack exposed quite a few xruns, many *more* than the
default kernel, but perhaps I need to adjust a few parameters. (Does
the --realtime-priority need to be set higher?)
