session last night to figure out the CCMRA functionality on a IBM Thinkpad
R52 / FC4 configuration me and my friend could really make a good and
exciting start. In the end we could play a midi file with MusE and Qsynth
through Jack using the GM soundfonts (only after we discovered the volume meters
on Qsynth, and noticed it's silence, we discovered that soundfonts had to be
downloaded as well). However, my RME Multiface card with CardBus interface was
not noticed by jack (neither the audio channels nor its Midi interface);
the HDSP mixer, however, did notice the audio channels. There's plenty of
evidence on the web that the Multiface should work out of the box, so I must be
overlooking something simple I guess...</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
