ahoy all..<br>
<br>
i have a working fc2 system, all updated and had originally working
with a sblive pci... well, i found an old sb AWE 32 isa pnp card,
swapped, and had some problems getting it working..<br>
<br>
when booting up, dmesg reports finding the card<br>
<br>
<font face="Courier New, Courier, monospace">isapnp: Scanning for PnP
cards...<br>
pnp: SB audio device quirk - increasing port range<br>
pnp: AWE32 quirk - adding two ports<br>
isapnp: Card 'Creative SB32 PnP'<br>
isapnp: 1 Plug & Play card detected total<br>
<br>
</font> but system-config-soundcard detects nothing, and xmms indicates
that no output device is available, same with alsa.. however, after
running<br>
<br>
<font face="Courier New, Courier, monospace">modprobe snd-sbawe</font><br>
<br>
sound works, though system-config-soundcard still returns nothing...
is there a way to have the card automatically setup during boot to
avoid the modprobe step??<br>
<br>
thanks, wayne<br>
