they couldn't. Did you (or could you) get in touch with them for

figuring out what is wrong. See the end of the "Re:

[Rosegarden-devel] [Rosegarden-user] ROSEGARDEN 10.04 RELEASED"

thread, the one with 10+ replies:

I couldn't find any information on that, and I think the MMC sync error was
spurious as I wasn't using MMC knowingly, more like some instrument I was
using sent MMC
and made rosegarden freak out? I can't remember....

Just because it seems quicker to set things up (and crash), I've been
playing with qtractor lately. I think I'll take Simon Lewis' advice and
build my own: "0.4.5 svn 1511 which was bug-fixed for fc12 x86_64" ...
it'll be good practice for when I need to add some features.... also, this
looks promising: http://www.linuxsampler.org/
LV2 plug-in: http://www.rncbc.org/drupal/node/188 . Not that I need much
other than a Yamaha db60xg card, qtractor, qjackctl, qxgedit, and my qchord
to make music: http://nielsmayer.com/DjColtraneRexx-qchord-salsa.flac :-)

and I totally agree w/
http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/software-ecology-rui-nuno-capela: "By
late in this time I was just another user of some Windows applications, of
which only the Cakewalk Pro Audio DAW do I still praise" ... looks like a
sincere form of flattery ended up in qtractor , or rather, that might be why
I feel at home using it, since pre-windows cakewalk was the last time I was
was inspired not to give up all the time (which is what doing music on Sonar
in windows was like for me). Fortunately linux has reversed that trend...

However, the lastest update to qtractor.x86_64 0:0.4.5-1.fc12 is no good on
x86_64 F12 -- perhaps the CCRMA version is better after-all.

Now it doesn't do that. It also doesn't randomly die loading up previously
saved .qtr or .qtt files.
