just ran across http://frescobaldi.org/ -- looks interesting, but not on my
priorities now -- thought i'd share, as it seems well-acclaimed "August 3rd,
2009: Frescobaldi wins "Hottest Pick" award in issue #117 of Linux Format"

http://news.lilynet.net/The-LilyPond-Report-17#outil_sommaire_4
(see "Reviewing Frescobaldi by Valentin Villenave.")

Frescobaldi is a LilyPond-oriented text editor for KDE4. It has originally
been intended as a plugin for the Kate editor, for KDE3 then for KDE4 when
it became widely used. Frescobaldi is now developed as an independent
program, albeit deeply integrated into the KDE desktop environment.
