Let me know how this turns out.
$ ldd /usr/lib/jack/jack_firewire.so|grep ffado
ldd: warning: you do not have execution permission for
`/usr/lib/jack/jack_firewire.so'
libffado.so.2 => /usr/lib/libffado.so.2 (0xb75ac000)
so it would seem it does not need libffado-devel as:
$ rpm -q -f /usr/lib/libffado.so.2
libffado-2.0.1-3.20100706.svn1864.fc12.i686
But the permissions are indeed wrong (but they have always been like
this I think - probably the latest version of the linking routines pay
attention to that?).
(I'm on vacation with spotty net access so I may take a bit to answer).
