Both XFce4 and the new LXDE desktops will really help your
performance. LXDE is included in Fedora-10 now. If I am getting any
xruns or strange audio quality and then which to LXDE they usually
clear up. It has because a habit now anytime I do any hard disk
recording to use LXDE.
