    That is actually very helpful.  It would appear that something in
the kernel/ALSA has changed with regards to my other hardware.  I'm
running 32 bit F11 on a 64 bit AMD 3700 so it may have something to do
with that.  I know it's not the card since it works great under F8 (and
64studio and Centos 5.3) on the same system.  Maybe it's time for a new
system ;-)
