The current packages available from Planet CCRMA should be enough. I did
get an Edirol FA-101 to work (as stated below). 

The current Fedora version of libraw1394 (2.x) can deal with both the
old firewire stack and juju so it all depends on the kernel modules you
have loaded. With the Planet CCRMA kernel it will be the old stack. 

You have to install ffado and that will enable you to use it with the
current Planet CCRMA jack in fc10.
