And another kernel built for fedora 8 works fine on fedora 7 (64 bit that is).

I gave it a good long test listening to music while "trying" to play World of Warcraft.  No xruns at 1.45 ms latency in jack.  Maybe sometime tomorrow I'll try the midi system if I get the time.
