[PlanetCCRMA] FC8, experience so far + pulse audio ...

Pulse audio works great for me on both F8 and UB8.04 except for one thing.
After startup or resume from hibernation I have no sound until I move the (open volume control} volume or pcm or sometimes both sliders.
Then the sound is fine until the next time that I shutdown or hibernate.
Any ideas anyone?
