Thanks for the report!

I can see there are some BUG reports about sleeping in the wrong
context. I'm getting some as well in a different context (apparently
related to my sata dvd drive - trying to play a dvd eventually hangs the
machine). 

Is this a complete freeze of the machine? What is the listing you sent
to the list? The output of dmesg before the freeze? Anything
in /var/log/messages _after_ you reboot the machine? Do the keyboard
lights flash after the machine freezes (that would surely indicate a
kernel panic). 

Anyway, there is a slightly newer kernel in the testing respository for
fc8/9, based on 2.6.25.9 plus Ingo's rt7 plus the current "stable"
kernel for Fedora patches... Maybe will not help but worth trying...
