I'll keep (hopefully) fc6 up to date for a while so I would advise you
to stay put and keep making music on what you have!

Maybe next time you could have a camera with you and capture the
"priceless" moment - then we set up a photo gallery :-) What they most
probably don't realize at that point is that it is not "free", you do
have to invest time (= money in a way) to learn a completely new system
and deal with the inevitable bugs and quirks... Still a win situation,
of course.
