Hi Thomas,
So far that's the only solution I know. The only difference is that now,
thanks to Fernando, you can get the libavc1394 and libraw1394 packages
directly from the CCRMA repository which in combination with the CCRMA
kernel should give you functional firewire. You don't need to use the
EzPlanet repository.
