Many thanks to Tracey Hytry for pointing a snaffu with the fc6 kernel
configuration files. The kernels I posted yesterday had the wrong choice
of disk driver model (sata vs. pata as in fc7). 

The new version I just posted is (I hope) fine in that respect, so
please upgrade :-)
