At one point I know Ardour didn't replicate some info throughout the TOC
and I'd use a text editor to add the fields to each track.  (I think it
was composer, maybe one other field, it's been a while, and Ardour's
been updated at least once since then.)

I think it is DAO for the burn; I just use cdrdao and specify the TOC file.
