Jan,
   As always take it with a grain of salt. Since 2.6.16-gentoo-r2 I'm
running my AMD64 machine xrun free, at least for light duty recording
and playback, without Ingo's patches. I still use realtime-lsm. I was
not able to do this with 2.6.15 kernels.
