[PlanetCCRMA] FC4 snd_intel8x0 fail message

I upgraded CCRMA, and kernel was installed, (1831), but failed to start 
alsa on reboot:
[root@localhost tom]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound stop

[root@localhost tom]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound start

Quick check of mailing list archives for January/February didn't shed 
much light on this.  I ran the command:
/sbin/chkconfig alsasound on
but no sound
