[PlanetCCRMA] Configuring alsa and jack

Is there a way to configure alsa and/or jack? Since the planetccrma install
I have lost all audio. When I try to run Jack Rack I get an error message
"could not create jack client. Is jackd server running?" Any help would be
greatly appreciated
