[PlanetCCRMA] hdspmixer display problem

greetings!

anyone else having this problem on fc5/ccrma?:

hdspmixer has the meter bars for various channels in the output section  
permanently stuck at various non-zero values. i remember this problem  
occuring for a while about 2 or 3 years ago -- the next version fixed  
it. curious that it has re-surfaced.

everything has been updated:
hdspmixer 1.6
alsa 1.0.11-1
