Hello there.

I know from the various alsa-related lists that the RME hdsp 9652
Digiface should work together with recent versions of the planet
and alsa. However im having troubles setting it up on a new
install of FC3 here. We've never used any RME card on any
linux-install here, so i cant compare with other machines. Its
most probably something silly, but hopefully someone using this
card already might shed some light.

The card is registered and drivers/modules set up during
installation of FC3.

FC3 is from todays Planet, with latest stable kernel
(2.6.10-2.1.ll.rhfc3.ccrma)

'cat /proc/asound/cards' returns the correct cardname, and
modprobe.conf contains plausible lines.

'lsmod | grep snd' returns a list of modules, among them
'snd_hdsp'

neither "alsamixer", "hdspmixer" or "qamix" gets in touch with
the card, they all return 'no *** card found' or something
similar.

"gamix" seems to detect the card, and lists up the various
digital ports.

starting jack and running ardour gives me a (correct) list of 26
outputs to connect to.

But theres no sound coming out to the digital interfaces
connected to it, and i cant find a way to control any volume on
inputs or outputs anywhere.

If someone could help, i would of course be very happy.

Heres some output which may give someone a clue:
