Hi Jonathan,
1) Is the realtime module loaded?
2) Do you have a realtime group set up in /etc/group
3) Is your user part of that group?
4) If it is loaded, how is is loaded? (What options?) I load mine like this:
realtime gid=600 any=1
Where my realtime group is 600.
