Good Soundfonts? Was: [PlanetCCRMA] Tmidity Jack Support?

Which brings up an interesting question:  Has anyone found a source
for high-quality soundfonts?  I can find a million free fonts on the
web, but they all sound sub-par, especially when compared to even the
most pedestrian of sound modules available on the market.

Maybe a program that would convert Akai samples (of which I have quite
a few) to soundfonts for use in Linux?
