It looks like the alsa sequencer module may not be up and running
(search for it with "/sbin/ldmod|grep snd-seq"). 

As a workaround you can enable the alsasound ALSA startup script:
  /usr/sbin/chkconfig alsasound on
Then either reboot or start it manually:
  /etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound start
