Probably not. 
Do this to check if the apt dependencies are happy:
  apt-get check
This should not show errors or inconsistencies. 
Check to see what alsa packages you have installed, type:
  rpm -q -a | grep alsa | grep 1.0.8
This is what I get (leaving only the last version of the kernel modules
for both kernels):
