[PlanetCCRMA] Ardour Help

Hi all,

I've come from Cubase and am wanting to start using Ardour. Can anybody 
please tell me if there is any up-to-date documentation on how to use it 
anywhere (the manual on the ardour website is quite outdated). The main 
function I'm wanting is to be able to create 'boxes' on individual tracks 
like you can in most packages (cubase, logic, rosegarden) and place audio 
files in it. These can then in turn be copied and pasted around the project. 
Can this be done in Ardour?
