Did you install the planetccrma-core or planetccrma-core-edge packages?
Or just Fedora Core 3?
Try:
  uname -r (name of kernel you are running)
  rpm -q alsa-driver (version of the alsa driver)
  rpm -q alsa-firmware (version of the alsa firmware package)
