Hi,
it seems that the realtime lsm module is not making it into
the mainline kernel. (See : http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/3/7/397 )
The alternative is to use rlimit which works OK as far as
I can tell.
If anyone is interested I've put together a SRPM package
( http://home.hia.no/~vegardl/rlimit/ )
of pam to work together with this patch:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.12-rc2/2.6.12-rc2-mm3/broken-out/nice-and-rt-prio-rlimits.patch
"a pair of rlimits for allowing non-root tasks to raise nice and rt
priorities. Defaults to traditional behavior. Originally written by
Chris Wright."
The hack/patch to pam was originally written by Chris Wright
( http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/1/14/174 ) and slightly modified by
me to actually work. :-)
