[PlanetCCRMA] Audacity

Dear list,

I am having some trouble getting Audacity to work on my FC2/planetccrma 
box. Regardless of which kernel I boot (2.6.5 - 2.6.8) I always get the 
same error:

    "There was an error initializing the audio i/o layer.
    You will not be able to play or record audio

    Error: Host error"

I am using a Cmedia 8738 sound card.

I have done some hunting on the web, and someone suggested adding  
"pcm.hw:0,1" under "use custom options" in the KDE sound and multimedia 
control centre. This didn't fix the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
