There's nothing specific to the sblive, I think. I seem to remember that
the capture buffer has to be 512 or more (with the current alsa driver),
and that means the latency is not that good. If you set it up for
playback only then you can go lower.

Look for the parameters for the snd-emu10k1 driver, in particular for
the extin/extout pair...
