(this is a tiny place in berkeley. hopefully we can fit all the
computers and stuff in the same room as the audience! sadly i believe
there's a concert at CNMAT the same night...)
-----

In an intimate, salon-style environment --

WHAT: CHAOS BUTTERFLY performs Separate Seas
WHERE: Epic Arts Center, 1923 Ashby Ave in Berkeley (directly across
from the Ashby BART)
WHEN: Wednesday Oct. 6th at 8pm.

Jonathan Segel and Dina Emerson (Chaos Butterfly) come from various
musical backgrounds ranging from Camper Van Beethoven to Meredith Monk
to the Cirque du Soleil. Lately they have been performing as a duo,
incorporating computers, singing, violins, wine glasses, etc. For this
concert they will present a combination of outside improvisation and
twisted song compositions in collaboration with a variety of special
guests.
We will have: Myles Boisen on Guitar and Philip Greenlief on saxophone.
Also, there will be a set by the Out of the Blue quintet (Jonathan on
violin with Matt Ingalls on clarinet, Kyle Bruckman on oboe, George
Cremaschi on bass and Bob Marsh on cello). For the final segment, there
will be a combination of all of the above in a compositional collage,
"Separate Seas".
