could you post
lsmod | grep ipw2200
cat /var/log/messages | grep ipw2200
also is your /etc/modprobe.conf set up with the line:
alias eth1 ipw2200
this will make it so that ifconfig and the rest of those net apps know
what device eth1 points to.
