sorry for the confusion - i am running 2.6.7 kernel on FC2. at the
moment, i've also got the default 2.6.5 kernel in grub, so's i can boot
into that and use my creative zen touch.
here's a typical startup and shutdown log for the 2.6.7 kernel -
ethernet seems to be fine, but module mdmpd (whatever that is) fails:

i'll have to reinstall the nvidia drivers to get some X log files ...
is there any chance my bios settings could be wrong for agp?
