I use a Sony GRX-416 and I have built a stable system using PlanetCCRMA. 
Everything is working fine, at least everything that I need. The only 
real difficulty I had were getting a firewire external hard drive 
recognized, which I eventually figured out. Other than that, nothing 
that could be attributed specifically to the Vaio GRX has given me any 
trouble. Good luck.
