Its not an old bug that has resurfaced, its an old version
of libsndfile from before the bug fix.

My records indicate tha the bug was fixed in 1.0.10pre1. Unfortunately
1.0.10 has not yet been released but I had hoped to do so this
weekend.

In the meanwhile, you could try the latest pre-release :
