[PlanetCCRMA] csound newbie: can I have the sound triggered by parallel port?

Hi

I just started with Csound (great tool)

Maybe a stupid question, but if I output the sound directly (realtime):
can I have the output triggered by a TTL signal received at the
parallel-port?

I need to be able to play sound-snippets, e.g. with length 4s, each one
not start playing until a TTL on the LPT is received

how can I do this with Csound?

if Csound cannot do it, which tool would you recommend?
