[PlanetCCRMA] do I really have to downgrade the kernel?

Thanks for the tip - it doesn't actually do it, like you say, but sadly
apt-get -f install doesn't fix it either.
I have tried removing the packages I initially installed but apt-get won't
let me do that! - nor will it let me install anything else.
So I'm a bit stuck now. For example:
[root at mushroom root]# apt-get -f remove muse
